Responsibilities

Infrastructure Ownership: Lead, maintain, and scale multi-cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP) and core Kubernetes applications.

Platform Reliability & Evolution: Drive architectural improvements to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across all services.

Automation & Efficiency: Build robust CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows to reduce operational toil for the team.

Project Leadership & R&D: Own technical initiatives from inception to delivery. Research modern tooling and run Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to elevate our stack.

Incident Management: Participate in an L2 On-Call rotation (payed) and conduct root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.

Documentation & Standards: Maintain clean, up-to-date technical documentation and best practices across the platform.

Requirements

Must-Have Expertise

• Kubernetes: Extensive hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting production K8s clusters.
• Cloud & IaC: Strong background in GCP (or another major cloud provider) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Observability & Troubleshooting: Proven track record with Prometheus-based monitoring stacks and deep-dive application/infrastructure debugging.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Deep knowledge of GitLab (repository management, runner configuration, and complex pipeline creation).
• Linux & Scripting: Solid Linux fundamentals with proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
• Communication: Functional English proficiency to collaborate effectively across a global team and produce clear technical documentation.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts).
• Hands-on experience with Envoy or Envoy-based proxies/gateways.
• Familiarity with VictoriaMetrics for large-scale time-series data.
• Software development experience in a general-purpose language (e.g., Go, Python).
