Full description
iSAM is an innovative, financial technology firm specialising in quantitative trading, comprised of iSAM Funds and iSAM Securities.
iSAM Securities regulated by the FCA, SFC, and CIMA registered, is a leading algorithmic trading firm and trusted electronic market maker, providing liquidity, technology and prime services to institutional clients and trading venues globally. The firm offers full-service prime brokerage and execution via its cutting-edge proprietary technology, as well as market leading analytics, cleared through the group’s bank Prime Brokers.
iSAM Funds is an alternative asset manager specialising in systematic investing. Each strategy is unique, provides a specialist quantitative approach and is designed to deliver highly diversifying absolute returns for institutional portfolios.
About the Role
iSAM Vector is iSAM’s original investment fund. It generates returns by trading a diversified portfolio across multiple asset classes, using a bespoke suite of signals and strategies to capture persistent market opportunities. The Vector Development team is responsible for the architecture, design, development, deployment and day-to-day operation of the systematic trading platform that supports the Vector fund. Its remit spans the full front-office trading lifecycle, including market data ingestion and capture, signal computation, portfolio and position management, order generation, execution and trade capture.
As a member of the team, you will contribute to the continued evolution of the platform’s design and architecture, support it in production, and deliver enhancements and new features aligned with the fund’s ambitious roadmap. You will work closely with the Research, Quant Development and Execution teams within the Vector business line, as well as collaborating with other teams across iSAM. We look for capable, self-directed professionals who are interested in a hands-on role within a trading firm and the opportunity to contribute directly to its core business. Given the team’s small size and rapid development cycle, enthusiasm, an open mind and a willingness to learn are essential. The role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of systematic trading while building on your existing technical experience. Although this is primarily a development role, you will also help support production systems as part of a rota.
We train all team members to become authorised traders for the Vector fund, giving them a deeper understanding of the practical implications and constraints involved in operating a fully systematic, automated trading system. This is a unique role combining technical breadth, close engagement with the business and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on a major investment platform.
