The Opportunity
We’re looking for an early-career Sales Engineer who is passionate about technology, enjoys learning how things work, and can confidently present technical ideas to others.
This role is designed for recent graduates or candidates with less than one year of professional experience who want to build a career in Sales Engineering. You’ll learn TP-Link’s Omada networking and surveillance solutions through hands-on training, labs, customer scenarios, and mentorship from experienced engineers.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who is curious, learns quickly, enjoys digging into technical problems, and can turn what they learn into clear and engaging presentations.
What You’ll Do
- Learn TP-Link’s networking and surveillance portfolio, including wired and wireless networking, cloud management, security, and related technologies.
- Build hands-on knowledge by configuring, testing, and troubleshooting products in lab environments.
- Support Sales Managers with customer presentations, technical questions, and solution proposals.
- Learn to understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for partners and customers.
- Assist with Proof of Concept (POC) testing and customer evaluations.
- Research new technologies, competitive products, and industry trends, and share what you learn with the team.
- Create technical materials such as presentations, guides, training content, and demo scenarios.
- Work closely with experienced Sales Engineers, Product, Support, and Engineering teams to continuously develop your technical and customer-facing skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Recent graduate or within one year of graduation with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Networking, or a related technical field.
- Strong interest in networking, Wi-Fi, surveillance, cloud technologies, or other IT technologies.
- Genuine passion for technology and a strong desire to understand how and why things work, not just how to configure them.
- Enjoys researching technical topics, experimenting with products, and solving problems independently.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence explaining ideas in front of an audience.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong learning ability and willingness to continuously develop new technical skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and software.
- Willingness to travel when needed for customer meetings, training, demonstrations, and industry events.
Advantageous Skills & Experience
The following are helpful but not required:
- Coursework, labs, internships, personal projects, or student activities involving computer networking, Wi-Fi, cybersecurity, surveillance, cloud computing, or IT infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of IP networking concepts such as IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience giving technical presentations, classroom presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, or technical training.
- Home labs, networking projects, programming projects, hackathons, technical clubs, or other evidence of hands-on interest in technology.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA or similar certifications.
- Familiarity with Python, Linux, cloud platforms, or network troubleshooting tools.
What Success Looks Like
You are naturally curious about technology and willing to dig deeper when you don’t know the answer. You enjoy learning through hands-on experimentation and can communicate what you learn clearly and confidently.
Over time, you’ll develop the technical knowledge, presentation skills, and customer experience needed to independently support partners and customers as a Sales Engineer.
