The QA Lead is a key member of the IT Systems team at Dixstone, responsible for establishing and driving quality assurance practices across ERP and broader IT initiatives. This role works closely with Product Owners, developers, support team, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure that system changes, integrations, and new rollouts meet functional, technical, and business requirements.
Dixstone has embarked on a greenfield rollout of a new ERP system to build a digital core for its global operations. As the organization expands its IT landscape, this position offers a unique opportunity to define the QA strategy from the ground up, implement scalable testing processes, introduce automation, and strengthen the overall reliability of enterprise systems.
The QA Lead will play a critical role in improving release quality, reducing operational risk, and ensuring that business users can confidently adopt new processes, tools, and system capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assess current IT and ERP change management processes and identify gaps in quality controls, testing practices, and release readiness.
- Define, document, and implement QA frameworks, standards, workflows, and testing governance across IT and ERP systems.
- Select, implement, and maintain QA tools for test case management, automation, defect tracking, performance testing, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a test environment strategy covering sandbox, QA, UAT, and staging environments.
- Establish QA metrics and dashboards, including defect density, test coverage, change success rate, test execution progress, and post-release defect trends.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test data for ERP modules and other IT systems.
- Review system change requests to assess quality impact, testing requirements, risk level, and release readiness.
- Participate in Change Advisory Board and roadmap review meetings to provide QA input and deployment readiness assessments.
- Validate that fixes, enhancements, integrations, and new system rollouts meet functional, technical, and business requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and support User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and other functions.
- Perform integration and regression testing across ERP releases, updates, configuration changes, and third-party system interfaces.
- Monitor post-implementation quality to identify recurring defects, process gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Identify repetitive and high-value test scenarios and introduce automation frameworks to improve regression testing efficiency.
- Implement and promote consistent defect tracking, prioritization, resolution, documentation, and release sign-off practices.
- Work closely with developers, Product Owners, business users, operations teams, vendors, and IT stakeholders to identify risks, improve processes, and promote a quality-first mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, ERP testing, or IT systems delivery.
- Previous experience as a QA Lead, Test Manager, QA Analyst, or similar role in an ERP or enterprise systems environment.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect management, regression testing, integration testing, and UAT coordination.
- Experience setting up or improving QA processes, tools, frameworks, testing governance, and automation practices.
- Hands-on experience in testing business processes across systems.
- Strong ability to understand business processes, translate them into test scenarios, and work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English is essential and French is an advantage.
