Requirements

Requires at least five years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience building and maintaining a data warehouse or reporting pipeline. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, able to obtain and maintain the required background investigation, and meet the applicable DoD 8140 qualification before privileged access or earn it within six months.

Full description

Build the data warehouse and reporting that show the government what its test infrastructure costs and how it performs.

You'll support a new Defense Health Agency program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the start date will align with the program start.

What you'll do:

  • Build data pipelines from infrastructure, ticketing and license sources into a warehouse
  • Build total cost of ownership and performance reporting
  • Keep data quality checks and lineage documented
  • Support the FinOps and license rationalization work

Must have:

  • 5 or more years in data engineering
  • Strong SQL and Python
  • Experience building and maintaining a data warehouse or reporting pipeline
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position
  • DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months

Nice to have:

  • Power BI or Tableau
  • AWS data services
  • An active Secret clearance or higher

Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Washington, D.C. area) is preferred, on site at the test center. Remote from Huntsville, Alabama, or from anywhere in the continental U.S. also works, through government-approved virtual desktop access, with trips to Chantilly when the work needs them.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required for the investigation this role needs. Zaden's FSO verifies investigation status.

Pay range: $132,000 to $158,000 per year. Your location and experience set where you land in the range.
