As a Principal IT Architect here at Honeywell Technologies, you will lead the strategic design and implementation of IT architecture solutions with a focus on SAP Commerce Cloud, headless migration, and seamless integration with SAP S4. You will play a critical role in shaping our technology landscape to support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
You will report directly to our IT leadership and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions across a complex enterprise landscape. You will play a key role in shaping Honeywell Technologies digital ecosystem by architecting seamless integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, CRM, CPQ, customer experience platforms, cloud services, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP Commerce Cloud expertise with strong integration, cloud, and enterprise architecture capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architectural design and migration initiatives for SAP Commerce Cloud utilizing advanced integration expertise, this role will deliver robust headless commerce solutions fully connected with SAP S4/HANA.
- Responsible for formulating and executing comprehensive IT architecture strategies that ensure seamless, high-performance integration across SAP Commerce Cloud, CRM, CPQ, and SAP S4, thereby advancing organizational efficiency and optimizing business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture solutions meet scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project, ensuring the successful integration of SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP S4, and related technologies in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Drive innovation by exploring and integrating emerging technologies to enhance IT architecture capabilities.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise application solutions.
- 5+ years of architecture experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
- Proven experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture and API-led connectivity.
- Experience designing solutions using REST APIs, SOAP services, middleware, and cloud-based integration platforms.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of commerce, customer engagement, order management, and ERP business processes.
- Experience leading architecture decisions across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic technology decisions.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- SAP Commerce Cloud certification.
- SAP S/4HANA functional or technical expertise.
- Experience with SAP BTP, MuleSoft, Workato, or similar integration platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce, AEM, CPQ, PIM, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and Marketing Automation platforms.
- Knowledge of headless commerce, composable commerce, and modern digital experience architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
- TOGAF, Azure Architect, AWS Architect, or related certifications.
- Strong executive presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
