We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
In this role, you'll work closely with software development and engineering teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring, and system reliability. You'll help streamline development workflows, reduce manual processes, and ensure applications can be deployed efficiently and consistently across different environments.
As part of a consulting environment, you may work across different projects and technical environments, so we're looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive, comfortable working with distributed teams, and able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployments, and operational tasks.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to improve deployment processes and development workflows.
- Support production environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance-related issues.
- Apply security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, access management, and cloud environments.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and deployment procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Proven professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD and source control tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Good understanding of Linux environments, networking concepts, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Understanding of security best practices related to cloud infrastructure, deployments, secrets, and access management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in consulting, staff augmentation, or client-facing environments.
- Experience managing infrastructure across multiple environments or projects.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless technologies.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.).
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong DevOps fundamentals with a proactive and collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership, troubleshooting complex problems, adapting to different technical environments, and working directly with development teams and stakeholders.
Because our projects can vary in technology, scope, and client needs, flexibility, communication, and the ability to quickly understand new environments are essential for success in this role.
