Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of all database systems. This includes proactive monitoring of database health and performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Implement and maintain a robust database security posture in accordance with all applicable requirements, including managing user access controls, implementing data encryption, and conducting regular security audits
  • Design, implement, and regularly test a comprehensive database backup and recovery strategy to ensure data integrity and meet government RPO and RTO requirements
  • Manage and oversee all database schema changes, ensuring all modifications are developed as version-controlled migration scripts and integrated into the automated CI/CD pipeline

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Remote Data Services (RDS) and PL-SQL
  • Five (5) years of prior experience in a similar role
  • DoD 8570 Level II/III certification
  • Active Security Clearance Required
