Benefits
Full description
Who: You! And the rest of the Product Engineering department & their cross-functional partners.
What: As a Staff Product Manager, you'll own Spotnana's agentic booking, recommendation, and personalization experiences while shaping product strategy across one of our most visible traveler-facing AI initiatives.
When: We're looking to hire as soon as we find the right person.
Where: Hybrid: New York, NY; you will be required to be in office 1+ days per week in alignment with our office work policy. Exceptional candidates in other locations may be considered.
Why: Corporate travel is becoming conversational, and Spotnana is building the AI travel agent behind it: an assistant that books, services, and advises across every surface a traveler touches. You will own one of Spotnana's most visible traveler-facing product areas, including the agentic booking experience, the recommendation engine that decides what travelers see first, and the personalization system that makes every answer specific to the traveler. This is one of the most visible surfaces at Spotnana, with direct executive sponsorship and a clear path to revenue.
How (to land the job!): The process typically begins with an introductory call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background, career aspirations, and what makes Spotnana a great fit. From there, you'll meet virtually with engineers, product leaders, and hiring managers, including a product case study as part of the interview process.
The day-to-day
- Own the agentic booking experience end to end: natural-language search, selection, payment, and post-booking servicing across web, mobile, and messaging surfaces, from discovery and PRD through launch, measurement, and iteration.
- Drive the recommendation engine with ML engineering: learning-to-rank quality, feature development, offline and online evaluation, experimentation, and explanations travelers trust.
- Build the personalization system: preference capture from explicit, conversational, and behavioral signals; persona-aware modeling; consent-first data use; and the traveler graph that powers it all.
- Lead customer discovery end to end: run discovery with enterprise customers and travel management company partners, own design partnerships and beta programs, and close the loop from customer feedback to roadmap.
- Write crisp PRDs, develop prototypes when appropriate, and drive execution with engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales, and customer success partners
- Sweat the experience: conversational UX, trust and confirmation patterns, latency budgets, and the details that make an AI product feel dependable rather than clever.
- Define and own success metrics, including: time to book, booking completion, recommendation acceptance, personalization quality, and customer satisfaction.
Skills & qualities we value
- 10+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years in product management. Experience shipping machine learning or AI-powered products is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with the AI/ML product lifecycle, including framing problems for models, offline and online experimentation, and understanding when a model is ready for production.
- Experience building agentic or conversational AI products (e.g. AI assistants, copilots, LLM-based products, recommendation or personalization systems); travel, commerce, or marketplace domain experience is a plus.
- Proven end-to-end customer ownership: you have run discovery, design partnerships, and launches directly with enterprise customers.
- A strong eye for user experience and product craft, especially in conversational interfaces.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence engineering, design, and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
