The manager oversees the full lifecycle—design, coding, testing, and implementation—of software applications integrating with MES, ERP (such as Priority ERP, SAP, or Oracle), and quality systems. Responsibilities include managing the development of control interfaces for PLCs, robotic systems, sensors, and automation equipment, while ensuring secure, reliable data collection, visualization, and analytics to support continuous improvement, OEE monitoring, and predictive maintenance. In addition to establishing software development standards, best practices, and documentation for scalable deployment across facilities, the role requires partnering with cross-functional teams in Production, Quality, IT, and Engineering. Candidates need hands-on experience with AMR fleet management software and navigation systems, MES/ERP platforms, PLC integration, and industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP. Proficiency in programming languages including C#, Python, Java, or C++ is required, as well as experience with SQL/NoSQL database management, API integration, Industry 4.0 technologies, and cybersecurity practices for industrial networks. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include a background in electronics or connector manufacturing, direct experience deploying AMRs in a production or warehouse environment, and familiarity with cloud platforms for industrial applications. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as required to meet production demands.
