Assistant Project Manager - Long Beach

 

Twining, Inc., an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Structure and Infrastructure Service Line in Long Beach.  This position will involve both technical oversite and project management assistance. It is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to make an immediate impact and for a candidate looking to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of assisting Project Manager on assigned projects including:
  • Ensuring appropriately credentialed/experienced staff are utilized and in accordance with proposal/contract.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate testing/reporting are completed by lab and field staff.
  • Review of field and laboratory reports.
  • Documentation and handling of nonconformance items.
  • Accurate and timely billing.
  • Budget management, tracking, and produce change order requests.
  • Complete task assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Proposal preparation for special inspection and materials testing services on Structure and Infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain chargeability goals.
  • Regular client communication to ensure DSO of 80 days or less for all projects managed.

Required Competencies:

  • BS degree is preferred.
  • 3 Years of construction experience or similar role.
  • 2 years minimum experience with Structure and Infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with overseeing materials testing and structural inspections highly desirable.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask and oversee several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients and potential clients.
