Retail Planning and Pricing
About the Team
Our combined Retail Planning and Pricing team brings together business consultants, customer success and support specialists, project managers, architects, and data science and engineering experts. We help retailers and brands connect planning and pricing decisions across the product lifecycle, from pre-season planning and assortment decisions to in-season demand forecasting, allocation, replenishment and price optimisation. Working as a global team, we combine retail expertise with AI-powered technology to help customers improve inventory performance, revenue, margins and operational efficiency.
About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist with a consulting mindset to help retailers and brands make better decisions about inventory, promotions and pricing. You’ll combine analytical expertise with direct customer engagement, building and validating models that turn complex data into practical business decisions. You’ll work with international teams throughout customer onboarding and solution delivery.
What You Will Do
- Partner with project managers, consultants and customers throughout onboarding projects.
- Translate business processes and customer requirements into data transformations and modelling approaches.
- Act as the key technical contact for data science and data engineering topics, explaining complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate, stable and well-documented data flows.
- Design, prepare and analyse A/B tests to evaluate outcomes and answer business questions.
- Train and validate statistical and machine learning models to measure the impact of pricing, promotions and inventory decisions.
- Prototype solutions with Product Management and develop efficient, well-tested Python code.
- Align customers and partners on data formats and transmission schedules.
- Track project-specific effort and maintain complete, reliable solution documentation.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, ideally in retail or consumer products.
- Excellent SQL skills and strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Hands-on Python experience, including Pandas, NumPy and Statsmodels.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics or a related field.
Additional Experience
The following would be an advantage:
- Experience with big data environments such as PySpark.
- Familiarity with statistical modelling or behavioural price effects.
- Additional languages beyond English.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110K – $140K per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and work location.
