Data Engineer

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer position for our client.

Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: 6 months

Duties:

• Develop and support data applications, APIs, web services, and microservices.

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex Python applications.

• Build REST APIs using FastAPI and integrate relational databases.

• Support CI/CD workflows, version control, and modern data platform technologies.

Skills:

• Python, FastAPI, PyTest

• MS SQL or relational databases

• REST API, Web Services, Microservices

• Git and GitLab/CI/CD

• Kafka, containerization, OpenShift/Kubernetes

• Analytics, NLP, and big data technologies

Experience:

• Hands-on Data Engineering/Application Development experience.

• Strong Python development and API architecture experience.

• Experience with unit testing, databases, Git, and CI/CD.

• Insurance industry experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
