Job Requirements About the Role

Phenom is looking for an Associate Technical Program Manager to join our Big Bets team a high-visibility group driving company-level strategic initiatives at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Business.

This role is designed for individuals who have built a strong technical foundation through hands-on software engineering experience and have subsequently pursued a premium MBA. It offers an opportunity to transition into Technical Program Management while working on large-scale, cross-functional engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional technical programs.
  • Translate complex business problems into structured technical roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Own program plans, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and risk management across multiple engineering teams.
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Build scalable program management frameworks, dashboards, and governance mechanisms.
  • Track program health, execution metrics, and delivery outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • MBA from a premier institute (IIM, ISB, or equivalent Tier-1 business school).

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Software Engineering experience prior to pursuing an MBA.
  • Software engineering experience must be in Backend Development or Full-Stack Development within a product or technology organization.
  • Experience should include designing, developing, and delivering production-quality software using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Post-MBA, candidates should either:

o be currently working in an Associate Program Manager, Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or similar cross-functional execution role, OR

o be a recent MBA graduate looking to build a career in Technical Program Management.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving ability with comfort working in ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of software engineering concepts including APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, SDLC, and Agile development.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and drive execution across engineering teams.
