Full description

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Project Manager in Marshalltown, Iowa! You will join a leading manufacturer of large, custom-designed control valves in a dynamic and technologically advanced production environment. As an Internal Project Manager (IPM), you will develop and own the manufacturing milestone plan for KOB1/KOB2 projects, managing the manufacturing process from Release to Manufacturing through Shipment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project commitments are met, proactively address challenges, and support successful outcomes for customers and the business.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead and participate in project and manufacturing kick-off meetings, ensuring quality, technical, and operational requirements are understood, documented, and executed while driving closure of open action items.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate manufacturing milestone plans, lead-time estimates, project schedules, and status updates for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate all factory activities related to assigned projects, including Built Not Shipped and Date Management processes, to support successful execution from release through shipment.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Emerson Impact Partners, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to present a unified approach and meet customer commitments.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or schedule deviations, and facilitate appropriate corrective or expediting actions when needed.

Prepare and coordinate pre-inspection meetings, customer inspections, video inspections, shipping schedules, and related activities to support customer requirements and on-time delivery.

  • Support PMO objectives, policies, and goals while assisting with customer visits and factory tours as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 2-year degree required or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Must be fluent in English.
