Requirements

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools.
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems.
  • Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Stay current with trends and advancements in HVAC technology and engineering.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience is requried.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems; familiarity with electrical and controls is an asset.
  • Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
  • Experience with MRP or ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
