This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Createspace based in Canada.

This is a senior product leadership opportunity focused on shaping and delivering innovative software experiences within a large-scale learning technology environment. You’ll own the product lifecycle from discovery and strategy through delivery, market launch, post-release optimization, and eventual end-of-life. The role combines customer empathy, strategic planning, market insight, and hands-on product execution. You’ll develop roadmaps and product requirements while balancing customer value, business viability, technical feasibility, and usability. Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and senior leadership, you’ll translate organizational strategy into impactful product initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to influence product innovation, build industry-leading creation experiences, and contribute to the future direction of the portfolio. Accountabilities:

  • Lead the success of product features and initiatives across the full lifecycle, from customer discovery and product alignment through requirements, development, market delivery, post-release management, and end-of-life.
  • Apply curiosity and empathy to understand customer needs, initiating and participating in internal and external user research, discovery, and empathy sessions.
  • Develop and maintain product and feature roadmaps that balance customer value, business viability, technical feasibility, and usability in collaboration with engineering and design.
  • Gather and incorporate input from engineering, marketing, sales, customer engagement, leadership, and other stakeholders to address priority customer and market needs.
  • Translate organizational strategy, business requirements, and market opportunities into a clear and actionable product roadmap.
  • Convert product vision and roadmap initiatives into well-defined product requirements, including functional needs, supported use cases and workflows, constraints, and measurable success criteria.
  • Maintain a data-driven product backlog aligned with the product vision and roadmap, continuously incorporating customer feedback, sales insights, service input, competitive intelligence, and market developments.
  • Partner with engineering, design, senior management, and executive stakeholders to ensure product objectives and organizational priorities are achieved.
  • Drive product innovation, advocate for product direction, and identify opportunities to develop new industry-leading creation products and services.
  • Ensure release candidates meet defined product requirements and collaborate across architecture, engineering, PMO, implementation, support, marketing, market strategy, and customer teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, including ROI analysis, business case development, and build-versus-buy-or-partner evaluations.
  • Represent product thought leadership at relevant industry events and contribute to broader market and product positioning.

Requirements

  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in software product management, with demonstrated expertise across product planning, market research, competitive analysis, positioning, enablement, evangelism, and product marketing.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to connect customer needs, market opportunities, technical constraints, and business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to create product strategies and visions for larger initiatives, smaller experiences, and cross-cutting product opportunities.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps that are clearly aligned with organizational strategy and customer needs.
  • Strong prioritization skills, including the ability to break complex initiatives into focused, deliverable increments and visualize thin slices of value.
  • Demonstrated progress toward measurable, data-backed business outcomes and experience using insights to inform product decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to enable, inform, and communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience partnering closely with software development and design teams on feature definition, prioritization, delivery, and defect management.
  • Strong go-to-market planning capabilities and an understanding of how to bring software products and features successfully to market.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and demonstrated acumen with artificial intelligence tools.
  • A strategic, results-driven, and highly motivated approach, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.

  • CAD $110,000–$150,000 annual base salary, with the final offer determined by relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, experience, geographic market data, and internal/external competitiveness.
