Benefits
Full description
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the AML team in Colombia. Our AML system is live and covers what the bank needed to launch, and the next stage is to take it further: adapt it to credit, debit, and upcoming product scenarios, and build AML mechanics that reflect how the Colombian market actually works. In this role, you will dive deep into the existing system, design processes yourself, define requirements, and coordinate changes across a large group of stakeholders. You will work at the intersection of Compliance, Origination, credit and debit products, engineering, analytics, and operations, with direct impact on how AML works across the bank's products.
Challenges that await you:
- Developing and adapting AML processes for the Colombian market: sanctions and PEP screening, transaction monitoring, case management, and suspicious activity reporting
- Defining requirements for AML scenarios across credit, debit, and new banking products
- Getting deep into the existing AML system and designing new processes end to end
- Writing business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and supporting implementation through development, UAT, and release
- Owning the health metrics of AML processes: registration conversion, the volume of customer contacts, case processing time, and the timeliness of regulatory reporting
- Analyzing registration-step conversion and the reasons behind customer contacts, and turning the findings into a prioritized backlog
- Working closely with Compliance Officers, Origination, and product teams to align AML requirements with product goals and customer experience
- Coordinating a large number of internal stakeholders and communicating status and risks to management
- Prioritizing initiatives and managing the backlog for the AML area
What makes you a great fit:
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in fintech, banking, or another regulated environment
- A track record of owning a large area or a significant part of a product end to end — as a senior analyst or the only analyst driving a direction
- Ability to get into the technical side independently and understand how systems and processes are built
- Experience documenting requirements (BRDs, user stories, use cases) and modelling business processes (BPMN 2.0, UML)
- Strong cross-functional experience: working with many stakeholders and communicating directly with management, including above your immediate level
- Familiarity with prioritization frameworks (RICE, WSJF, MoSCoW) and backlog management
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro; basic SQL or spreadsheet skills for data validation
- B2 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
Your bonus skills:
- Experience in AML, anti-fraud, or financial crime prevention
- Experience launching or localizing a compliance framework in a new jurisdiction
Our ways of working:
• Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions
• Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication
• Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community
• Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together
• High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances
Our benefits:
- Relocation support to Colombia with assistance for the employee and their family
• Flexible work from our office
• Healthcare Coverage
• Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training and certifications
• Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements
• Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave
