Project Description

Responsible for operations, monitoring (e.g., using Zabbix), documentation, deployments, and troubleshooting of the platform and related services. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and teams across laboratory and production environments, ensuring seamless operational readiness. Coordinate technical activities and service delivery with the external vendor HCL. Participate in on-call support and incident response activities; night shifts are required only on rare occasions. Apply expertise in TCP/IP networking, system tracing, root cause analysis, and Linux-based environments. Experience with scripting and automation is considered an advantage, but is not mandatory.

Activity Description

Manage designated IT applications and systems, serving as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and key users. Gather, define, and implement requirements for the enhancement of system modules, including interface integration and optimization. Analyze systems and develop measures to ensure stability, availability, performance, and security. Provide functional leadership and coordination of internal and external IT service providers, including development and hosting partners. Contribute to IT budget planning, forecasting, and cost control activities. Lead projects for the implementation of new solutions and the enhancement of existing systems and services.

Qualifications

Skills requirements

  • Technical Core & Stability: Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and Linux/Windows systems to keep applications stable and scalable.
  • Integrations & CI/CD: Proficiency in API management and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for seamless module enhancements and system integrations.
  • Observability & DevSecOps: Mastery of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and security practices (IAM, vulnerability scanning) to ensure system performance and data safety.
  • Stakeholder & Project Leadership: Strong communication skills to gather business requirements, translate them into technical plans, and run projects using Agile or Scrum methods.
  • Vendor & SLA Management: Experience coordinating internal teams and external IT service providers (hosting/dev partners) while ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • IT Operations & FinOps: Understanding of ITIL principles (change/incident management) and cloud cost-optimization techniques to help direct IT budgeting and forecasting.
