Full description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior iOS SDK Engineer to lead the development of next-generation iOS SDKs powering our wearable ecosystem, including smartwatches, smart rings, and health-focused connected devices.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in iOS application and SDK development, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, API design, and mobile architecture. You will work closely with firmware, cloud, algorithm, and app teams to build scalable, developer-friendly SDKs that enable seamless integration of wearable devices with iOS applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS SDKs for wearable devices.
  • Build robust BLE communication layers for device pairing, authentication, synchronization, OTA updates, and real-time data streaming.
  • Develop SDK APIs for health, fitness, notifications, device controls, and sensor data access.
  • Define SDK architecture, versioning strategy, backward compatibility, and release processes.
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to define BLE services, GATT profiles, and communication protocols and to integrate health and wellness features such as heart rate, SpO₂, sleep, activity, and stress monitoring.
  • Optimize SDK performance, battery consumption, memory usage, and connection reliability.
  • Create developer documentation, sample applications, integration guides, and debugging tools.
  • Lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
  • Drive SDK quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of software development experience with at least 4 years in iOS development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
  • Experience building and publishing reusable iOS SDKs/frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), CoreBluetooth, and Apple connectivity frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
  • Experience with dependency management tools such as Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, or Carthage.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, and cloud-connected applications.
  • Experience debugging BLE communication using tools such as nRF Connect, Wireshark, or protocol analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, multithreading, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on smartwatch, smart ring, fitness tracker, hearable, or other wearable products.
  • Experience implementing OTA firmware update workflows.
  • Familiarity with Apple HealthKit, Health Connect integrations, and health data synchronization.
  • Understanding of sensor technologies including PPG, IMU, temperature, and bio-sensing systems.
  • Experience with BLE security, encryption, bonding, and privacy mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and SDK distribution platforms.
  • Experience working with cross-platform mobile teams and Android SDK counterparts.
