The role

The Business Analyst, IT acts as a strategic liaison between business units and IT, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating business needs into technical requirements—across various IT systems and applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from end users to senior leadership.

The responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT solutions, across various systems and applications.
  • Conduct gap analysis and propose process improvements or system enhancements.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of IT systems, including diverse enterprise software solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training sessions.
  • Develop documentation such as process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Monitor system performance and user feedback to recommend continuous improvements.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling (e.g., BPMN), data flow diagrams, and system integration.
  • Experience with diverse enterprise software is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred.

Skills

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise software solutions and automation tools.
