👤 REPORTS TO Manager of Safety
Xtreme Aviation is looking for a Safety Coordinator to support the Manager of Safety and help coordinate the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and Emergency Response Plan. This position plays an important role in promoting a safe workplace, monitoring safety performance, and helping ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis Monitor the effectiveness of safety risk controls Ensure safety is promoted throughout the organization as required by the SMS program Regularly report to the SMS Manager and Accountable Executive on the performance of the SMS program Coordinate the development and implementation of company safety programs Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, organizational standards, safety requirements, and company policies Investigate and report incidents and accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions Coordinate the development and implementation of Company Safety Programs Responsible for the development and revision of training programs and materials related to safety, security, and emergency response Process and serve as a gatekeeper for all safety reports Maintain a safety reporting and analysis system Inspect, audit, and measure safety performance Ensure all accidents and incidents are investigated in a timely manner and corrective actions are implemented as needed Ensure safety audits and inspections are conducted as specified by the safety program Evaluate employee feedback regarding hazard identification, safety improvements, and appropriate recommendations Routinely make observations of work areas to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions Report to management on company activities that may have an impact on safety Coordinate with the Facilities Manager on Emergency Response Exercises Represent the company with government agencies and professional associations regarding safety and environmental matters Coordinate all safety training and ensure applicable employees are properly trained Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate occupational safety programs to prevent or control unsafe environmental working conditions and reduce the frequency of work-related accidents and injuries Monitor industry safety concerns that may have an impact on Xtreme Aviation activities Perform safety audits and safety performance evaluations Promote SMS bulletins, communications, and other safety awareness materials Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Safety
