We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with experience in functional, API, database, and end-to-end testing. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and business correctness of web and mobile applications, with particular emphasis on Fintech and Lending workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Manual Testing, STLC, Defect Life Cycle, API Testing, SQL, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. You will work closely with Product, Business Analysis, and Development teams to identify defects, validate business requirements, and ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios based on BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Test web and mobile applications across relevant functional workflows and user journeys.
  • Perform API testing using Postman, including request/response validation, status codes, parameters, and business rules.
  • Validate backend data, application logic, and database outcomes using SQL queries.
  • Test end-to-end lending journeys, including KYC, eligibility, approval, disbursement, repayment, and loan servicing.
  • Validate financial calculations, business rules, data accuracy, and application workflows.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA.
  • Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes.
  • Collaborate with developers to investigate defects, reproduce issues, and validate resolutions.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and identify potential gaps.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain clear test documentation, execution results, defect reports, and testing evidence.
  • Support release validation and ensure critical business workflows are adequately tested before deployment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, coverage, and overall product quality.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 1+ years of professional experience in Manual Testing, Software QA, or Quality Assurance.
  • Strong understanding of Manual Testing, Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Defect Life Cycle.
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases based on business and functional requirements.
  • Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Practical experience with API Testing and Postman.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
  • Experience testing web applications; exposure to mobile application testing is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in sprint-based development environments.
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test-related activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand complex business rules and validate application behaviour against expected outcomes.
  • Fintech, lending, banking, or financial-services domain experience is preferred.
  • Experience testing KYC, loan eligibility, approvals, disbursements, repayments, servicing, or financial calculations is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with Product, BA, Development, and QA teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing priorities and deliver within sprint and release timelines.
  • Immediate availability or a short notice period would be preferred.
