The Electrical & Automation Engineer – Offshore Operations is an office-based role supporting in fault management, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and mobilization activities for subsea robotic equipment (trenchers and associated tooling) deployed on projects. Acts as the first point of contact for electrical/automation faults reported from the field, coordinating resolution either directly or through the appropriate onshore specialist. Occasional field visits may be required for active campaigns or mobilizations.

Key Responsibilities
Fault Management (Triage & Coordination)
- Receive and log electrical/automation faults reported from vessels/projects; understand the issue and assess its complexity.
- For straightforward faults, guide and assist ship-based technicians remotely to resolve them.
- For more complex faults, escalate to the appropriate onshore Electrical/Automations engineer, and coordinate and follow up until resolution.
- Maintain a clear record of all faults, actions taken, and resolution status.
Maintenance Coordination, Execution & Documentation
- Plan and track preventive/corrective maintenance schedules for deployed equipment, coordinating with offshore personnel and vessel crews.
- Maintain maintenance logs, test records, electrical schematics, and equipment history in internal databases.
- Prepare maintenance reports following completed offshore tasks, per internal procedures and standards.
- Active involvement in maintenance works execution in cooperation with technical teams.
Spare Parts Management
- Maintain and update spare parts inventory records for equipment on active projects.
- Monitor stock levels and consumption trends; coordinate reordering with stores/procurement.
- Enter and maintain procurement/maintenance data in the ERP/PMS system (SAP preferred).
Mobilization Support
- Prepare equipment, tooling, and spares lists ahead of mobilizations, together with the Electrical & Automation Engineer – Offshore Operations.
- Track mobilization/demobilization needs; ensure timely procurement/dispatch.
- Coordinate with mechanical, hydraulic, and operations teams on mobilization schedules.
Field Support
- If required, travel to site/offshore as needed for active campaigns, inspections, or mobilizations — occasionally, up to 60 days per year
- Degree/technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience as an electrical engineer/technician in industry (offshore/marine/subsea a plus, not required).
- Solid knowledge of medium/low-voltage equipment: motors, VFDs, transformers, switchgear.
- Ability to assess and triage electrical/automation faults, and communicate clearly with both field technicians and specialist engineers.
- Basic exposure to PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred) and SCADA/HMI systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, basic automation schematics.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; comfortable managing multiple open issues in parallel.
- Familiarity with ERP/PMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent MS Office; MS Project a plus.
- Good written/spoken English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits/mobilization support (limited days/year).
