About this Role:
The Clinical Development team undertakes research to understand the needs of healthcare professionals, identify market opportunities, and works closely with a variety of internal teams to support product launches and post-market activities.
As an Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Coordinate and support the management of devices, products and programs
- Gain a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, surgical equipment, and operating theatre environment
- Support the stages of our product life cycle, including research and identification of clinical/customer needs, market analysis, launch and implementation, and post-market surveillance
- Monitor and analyse the market, our devices, and competitive devices
- Identify opportunities for product expansion into the market
- Utilise multiple sources of information to clearly define clinical needs, present those findings to the team, and collaborate with team members to drive projects
- Lead and actively contribute to growing our market share through product awareness campaigns, workshops, tradeshows, and providing support to our Field Implementation Team
- Provide support for product development or enhancement projects
- Participate in processes to support cross-departmental projects
- Build working relationships with Healthcare Professionals
- Develop and promote the Applied Medical brand and culture
About you:
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- 2+ years healthcare and/or medical device experience in sales or marketing/product management
- University graduate, preferably with a degree related to healthcare, business, or marketing
- Experience communicating with Healthcare Professionals in an operating theatre environment (preferred)
- Experience delivering presentations (preferred)
- Knowledge of gynaecologic and general surgical products and procedures (preferred)
- Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand healthcare systems and dynamics (preferred)
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Basic mathematics and analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to formulate reports and present findings
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner and Teams
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
- Ability to travel and work regularly in the field throughout Australia and New Zealand as required
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and eligible to travel to the USA
