The roleWe're looking for a Product Manager to join our team focused on the patient experience — helping people find, access, and navigate care on Maple. This is a 12–18 month contract role and a unique chance to shape how millions of Canadians experience care.

In this role, you'll lead product work from discovery through launch and iteration — turning patient research, data, and feedback into clear product choices that improve the experience of getting care. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Marketing, Customer Support, Data, and our AI Centre of Excellence to ship experiences patients actually feel. We're looking for a hands-on AI builder — someone who uses AI to prototype, test, automate, and ship, whether that experience comes from product management or from independently launching AI products, mobile apps, or other software for real people.

Your responsibilitiesAs a Product Manager, you will:

• Own the day-to-day product work and outcomes for a defined area of Maple’s patient access journey, with support from product leadership on broader strategy and complex trade-offs.

• Develop a strong understanding of patients and where they struggle to access care through research, data, journey analysis, and direct feedback.

• Lead features and initiatives from problem definition through launch, measurement, and iteration, keeping the squad focused on the most valuable problems.

• Bring a builder mentality to the work: use AI, prototyping, and other tools to make ideas tangible, test assumptions early, and help the squad get to working software quickly.

• Partner closely with engineering and design to turn complex care options and journeys into simple, intuitive patient experiences.

• Translate patient needs and healthcare, business, technical, and regulatory constraints into clear product direction and thoughtful trade-offs.

• Identify and validate where AI can meaningfully improve care navigation or access, balancing patient value, trust, safety, feasibility, and business impact.

• Keep the squad and cross-functional partners aligned by communicating decisions, progress, risks, and changes clearly.

What success looks likeIn your first 90 days, you’ll build a strong understanding of Maple’s patient experience, the journeys people take to access care, the current roadmap, technology, and key metrics. You’ll build trusted relationships with your squad and cross-functional partners, take ownership of in-flight work, and use early prototypes or experiments to clarify the highest-value points of friction.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, you’ll deliver measurable improvements to how patients find, start, and access care on Maple. You’ll lead features and initiatives through launch and iteration, help the squad move faster from problem to working version, and ship AI-enabled solutions where they create real value. Success will show up in less friction, more patients successfully reaching the care they need, reliable execution, and your ability to independently own product decisions within your area.

What you bring • 2+ years of product management experience in a software environment, or equivalent hands-on experience building and launching AI-enabled digital products in another role.

• A track record of taking a real user problem or product idea from discovery or prototype through launch and iteration.

• A builder mentality. You’re comfortable using AI and prototyping tools directly to explore problems, test ideas, and create working versions rather than relying only on documents.

• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and product judgment, with the ability to define a clear outcome and make thoughtful trade-offs.

• The ability to use data, research, and customer insight to make product decisions and measure whether the work created value.

• Experience working closely with engineering and design to shape and deliver digital product experiences.

• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to keep different teams aligned.

• Comfort working through ambiguity and complex workflows, paired with a collaborative, resilient, and low-ego approach.

• Bonus points for experience in healthcare or another regulated industry, consumer products, marketplaces, care navigation, complex platforms or integrations, or building AI products with real users.

Play to your strengths. Finding the right fit goes both ways, so this section is yours to complete. When you join, you'll add the unique strengths you bring that aren't captured above.
