We’re building a trusted, go-to platform for 5M+ long-tail industrial parts across Europe.
About the Role
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to drive the reliability, scalability, and performance of Partao’s infrastructure. You’ll own our cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and ensure our systems can scale as we move toward millions of active SKUs and users.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves automation, clean infrastructure, and building systems that “just work.” You’ll collaborate closely with our backend, frontend, and data teams to keep our environments fast, secure, and stable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our AWS infrastructure (S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, CloudFront).
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for fast, stable deployments.
- Oversee uptime, performance, and security of production and staging environments.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (CloudWatch, or similar tools).
- Support backend teams with environment setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Automate recurring infrastructure or deployment tasks where possible.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to ensure new releases are safely deployed and optimized.
- Continuously review system performance and recommend improvements for speed, reliability, or cost optimization.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Hands-on experience managing AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, CloudFront, IAM).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows (GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
- Understanding of networking, load balancing, and security within AWS.
- Ability to troubleshoot live system issues and support quick recovery.
- Clear communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points
- Experience supporting Magento, Python, or PHP application deployments.
- Awareness of cost management and optimization in AWS.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka, SQS).
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python preferred).
- Experience working in a marketplace, industrial/long-tail B2B environment, or sectors like construction, agriculture, or automotive
- Prior role in an early-stage startup with budget responsibility and autonomy
What We Offer
- Opportunity to join a growing, VC-backed startup in a pivotal marketing role, gaining exposure to both B2B and B2C growth strategies across international markets
- High autonomy with direct impact on growth and branding strategy
- A culture of speed, data-driven decision-making, and transparency
