Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Financial Data Analyst to join our shared services team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extract, clean, and validate financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting
  • Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial records and transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing reconciliations and analysis
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Create ad-hoc financial analyses and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making
  • Develop documentation for financial data models, formulas, and analytical methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related analytical role
  • Strong proficiency with Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formula development
  • Experience with SQL or database query languages for extracting and manipulating data
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience with data warehousing or ETL processes
  • Familiarity with financial consolidation or budgeting software

The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX–$YY,YYY annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
