Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Financial Data Analyst to join our shared services team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and validate financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial records and transactions
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing reconciliations and analysis
- Collaborate with accounting teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
- Create ad-hoc financial analyses and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making
- Develop documentation for financial data models, formulas, and analytical methodologies
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related analytical role
- Strong proficiency with Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formula development
- Experience with SQL or database query languages for extracting and manipulating data
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency with business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
- Experience with data warehousing or ETL processes
- Familiarity with financial consolidation or budgeting software
The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX–$YY,YYY annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
