Full description

Know where you belong!

Match Group is a leading provider of dating products across the globe. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Hinge, Match, Meetic, PlentyOfFish, OkCupid, The League, HER, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn’t stop at our products - it’s the foundation of every team we hire.

When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL). We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL 3 days/week.

HER is the world’s largest community for lesbian, bisexual, and queer people. We’re a global, subscription-based consumer product serving millions of LGBTQIA+ users across 55+ countries — helping people connect, date, and build community in ways that feel authentic, affirming, and fun.

HER is part of Match Group, the global leader in dating products, and sits within Match Group’s Everyone & Everywhere (E&E) portfolio alongside other identity-led platforms. This gives us the best of both worlds: the scale, insight, and infrastructure of a global organization, with the autonomy, speed, and cultural focus of a small, mission-driven team.

We're hiring a Product Manager I to own product execution at HER on a 9-month temporary basis. You'll run the day-to-day product/engineering sprint cadence — standups, planning, backlog grooming, unblocking — while also shaping what's on the roadmap: pitching ideas and weighing in on feature and design discussions. This is not a pure execution role. On a small, senior team, you'll have real ownership and a direct line to the people building HER's brand and product vision.

\n

How you'll make an impact: Sprint & Execution Ownership

• Run the product/engineering sprint cadence — standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retros

• Keep releases on track and unblock engineering as issues arise

• Translate roadmap priorities into clear, well-scoped tickets and specs

Roadmap & Ideation

• Contribute original ideas to the roadmap — this role is expected to pitch, not just deliver

• Weigh in on feature scoping and design discussions alongside Design, Data/Analytics, and Engineering

• Use data and qualitative insight to prioritize what gets built next

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Design, Data/Analytics, Engineering, and CRM to ship high-quality experiences

• Coordinate periodically (roughly every other week) with the broader Emerging & Evergreen product team

• Build relationships with HER's Head of Product and founder to stay aligned with brand vision

Data-Informed Decision-Making

• Use product analytics to inform prioritization and measure the impact of shipped work

• Design and interpret experiments in partnership with Data/Analytics

We could be a Match if:

• You have 3+ years of product management experience, ideally at a consumer app or subscription/freemium product

• You have hands-on experience running agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros) and driving execution solo

• You make prioritization calls with limited bandwidth and back them up with data

• You communicate clearly and effectively across cross-functional teams — Design, Engineering, Data, CRM

• You're comfortable at a startup-y pace: small team, high ownership, fast iteration

• You genuinely understand and care about queer culture and HER's community — lived experience within the sapphic/queer community is a strong plus

• You're as comfortable contributing ideas as you are executing someone else's — this role expects both

• You're excited to work closely with a small, senior team and get direct exposure to Match Group's scale

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with consumer dating/social apps

• Familiarity with Figma, Jira, Google Docs, and Notion (or willingness to ramp quickly)

• Exposure to subscription revenue models

\n$110,000 - $120,000 a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of New York, NY. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of approximately 9 months. The posted salary range reflects an annualized rate; actual compensation will be prorated based on the length of the assignment.

Our Values

  • Take the Lead: We don't ghost our work or each other. Just as users don't leave their matches hanging, we don't let each other down.
  • Move Fast: We have a bias for action and urgency. Something that could be done tomorrow would be better if done today.
  • Better Together: We keep connection at the heart of dating and at the heart of how we work. Just as our users are better when they connect with others, so are we when we collaborate.
  • Real Talk: We say the hard thing the human way. Just as we ask our users to behave with kindness and candor in our community, we expect all of us to do the same.
  • Safety First: We act with integrity, transparency, and consistency so people feel safe—whether they're swiping, matching, or working alongside us.
  • Spark Fun: We have fun to unlock creativity, fuel innovation, and help us build better experiences for daters.

f you require a reasonable accommodation to participate in the hiring process — such as during pre-employment testing or interviews — please indicate this by selecting “Yes” in the accommodation request field. We’ll reach out to discuss your needs if you're selected for the interview stage.
