About the role
You will own the payout rails roadmap, determining which corridors, rails, and partners to add based on volume, cost, and customer demand. You will also collaborate with solutions engineers to translate partner API specifications into platform requirements and define performance metrics for every rail.
What they look for
Requirements
The role requires 5+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or banking, with at least 2 years specifically in payments or partner integration. Candidates must possess a practical understanding of REST/JSON APIs, payment message standards, and the ability to prioritize roadmaps against engineering capacity.

Full description
At MoneyGram, we're combining the strength of a trusted global brand with the agility of a tech-forward, growth driven culture. With 85+ years of experience and a presence in more than 200 countries and territories, we've built a foundation of stability and trust to help millions of people around the world send funds quickly, securely, and affordably.
We're looking for bold thinkers, builders, technologists, and sellers who want real ownership of their work, thrive in collaborative environments, and are energized by solving complex challenges. Here, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact - fast.
If you're eager to shape the future of cross-border payments and financial services, join us as we transform how the world moves money.
Product Manager, Payout Rails
At MoneyGram, we connect the world by making cross border money transfers seamless, affordable, and secure for everyone. We are a customer centric, digital first, cross border money movement network, serving millions of customers across the globe.
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Payout Rails team. You will own the problem space for how money reaches banks, wallets, and aggregators worldwide. You will work daily with the Solutions Engineers who build and run each connection, and with engineering, Compliance, Operational and Commercial teams.
What you'll do
- Own the payout rails roadmap: which corridors, rails, and partners we add, and in what order, based on volume, cost, and customer demand
- Have a complete understanding of each corridor and payout method: addressable volume, partner cost, speed, coverage, and conversion
- Work with Solutions Engineers to turn partner API specifications into platform requirements, and decide what we build once versus configure per partner
- Define how we measure the performance of every rail. Instrument those measures, review them, and act on them
- Turn recurring partner and operations friction into roadmap items, so we remove the cause
Who you are
You understand and have experience in owning problem spaces. You can explain a payment rail to a business lead and a product requirement to an engineer in the same meeting. You would rather remove the cause of a recurring problem than keep handling each instance of it.
Skills and experience
- 5+ years in product management in payments, fintech, or banking, with at least 2 years on a payments, payouts, or partner integration product
- Working knowledge of payment rails and message standards: ISO 20022, instant versus deferred batch clearing, alias and account resolution, settlement versus clearing
- Practical understanding of REST and JSON APIs, authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and mTLS, webhooks, and idempotency. You can read a partner API specification and a raw request and response trace
- Clear writing: product requirements and updates for engineers, partners, and executives
- Demonstrated ownership of work that crosses engineering, commercial, and external partners
- Experience prioritising a roadmap against limited engineering capacity, and saying no with evidence
