Tasks
- You design, configure, and maintain Azure network infrastructures, including hub‑and‑spoke and hybrid models (VNets, routing, load balancers, application gateways, VPN, ExpressRoute)
- You are responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto firewalls in Azure, including policies, NAT rules, routing, and security zones
- As part of daily operations, you provide Level‑2 support for Azure network and firewall‑related incidents and service requests
- Acting as a network subject‑matter expert, you support Azure projects from architectural design through implementation to go‑live
- You ensure compliance with security standards and cloud networking best practices
- By contributing your expertise, you help define, document, and continuously improve Azure network standards and reference architectures
- Where applicable, you support automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code approaches in the networking domain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable education
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls, ideally within Azure environments
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals, including routing, switching, DNS, IP addressing, VPN, and security concepts
- Proven troubleshooting skills and hands‑on experience in Level‑2 operational support
- Azure certifications such as AZ‑700 are considered a plus
- Team‑oriented professional with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, trust‑based environment, combined with a structured, independent, and solution‑oriented working style
- Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
