WRS has an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager with at least 5+ years of related experience in the field. The person who fills this position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a range of routine and complex civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This includes site development, grading and earthwork, underground utilities, road and heavy civil construction, and related infrastructure work.

Your Responsibilities
- Know civil construction means and methods well enough to produce quality estimates/bids/proposals/schedules that result in profitable work for the company and the construction department.
- Provide clear direction to superintendent/foreman of your expectations for the project. Provide them with project files, estimates, schedules, and any other pertinent information.
- Prepare submittals, work plans, subcontracts, rental and material agreements.
- Set baseline schedule in conjunction with field supervision.
- Generate RFI’s, pay applications, change orders, quality tracking, etc.
- Collect and review material packing slips and approve invoices.
- Prepare financial reports, billings, cost reports and trends for WRS and client.
- Communicate with superintendent, foreman, client, safety, and management as the need arises; and to provide updates regarding project progress, adjust manpower and equipment.
- Work as part of the leadership within the construction department to understand and determine project needs regarding workloads, manpower, and equipment
- Be professional in dealing with customers, as well as company staff.
- Be a team player, lead and manage your team by example.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Have a solid understanding of the projects scope of work and how to complete the work safely. Understand the project and client’s safety requirements; and understand the safety costs for projects.
- 3-7 years experience in civil construction managing projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates with adequate notes for project staff to understand the logic and reasoning behind how an activity was priced.
- Must know and use HeavyBid, Heavy Job Manager, HCSS, and MS Office.
- Understand BlueBeam, P6, MS Project or similar software. Prepare project forms clearly and accurately.
- Prepare bid proposals with detailed scope of work, clear inclusions/exclusions.
- Be able to give verbal presentations to groups of various sizes.
- Be able to clearly convey emails/letters in a professional manner.
- Prepare to work hours necessary to complete tasks, as there will be deadlines which need to be met.
- Have a thorough understanding of how projects are built and prepare realistic bid schedules.
- Be willing to help in any way and always be willing to encourage those on the team.
