PROJECT MANAGER – SAP ERP DATA
THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
The ERP Data Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation of the data workstream within a SAP S4 Public cloud environment, ensuring that data workstream activities are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, external vendors and fellow project managers to ensure smooth program execution and alignment with business goals.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Project Planning & Management:• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for the data workstream.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Co-ordinate across interrelated project workstreams to ensure success of integrated solution
- Stakeholder Management:• Act as the primary point of contact between the business, technical teams, and third-party vendors for data related activities.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with stakeholders to update on workstream progress, risks, and milestones.
- Ensure stakeholders’ expectations are aligned and manage changes or escalations.
- Team Leadership:• Lead cross-functional project teams, including business analysts, developers, consultants, and testers.
- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure that workstream members understand their roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
- Foster collaboration and communication among teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Data Workstream Delivery:• Ensure successful implementation and configuration of ERP components to support data migration activities
- Coordinate with other workstream leads to facilitate successful Mock and cutover activities.
- Oversee data migration, integration efforts, and system upgrades to avoid business disruption.
- Documentation & Reporting:• Create detailed project documentation, including workstream charter, plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Track project metrics and performance to ensure that milestones are achieved and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Budget & Resource Management:• Monitor project expenses and manage the project budget to ensure financial targets are met.
- Manage external vendors and contracts related to the data workstream.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Experience:• 7+ years of experience managing Data aspects of complex ERP or CRM implementations, with at least 3-5 years of experience in SAP projects (preferably SAP S4 public cloud).
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing both on-premises and cloud-based implementations.
- Technical Knowledge:• Deep understanding of SAP Ecosytem components (S4, Ariba, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud SAC)
- Project Management Skills:• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budgets in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
- Soft Skills:• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus, but not required.
