Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Java Spring Microservices Developer to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of scalable microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Java developers, driving technical excellence and innovation across enterprise solutions. This role is instrumental in aligning technology solutions with business needs, fostering best practices, and mentoring teams for high-quality outputs that support organizational growth and digital transformation initiatives.
Software Requirements
- Required:• Java (Java SE 11 or higher)
- Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
- Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse
- Version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Build tools (Maven or Gradle)
- Preferred:• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Overall Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development, deployment, and management of microservices architecture solutions using Java Spring technologies
- Mentor and guide a team of Java developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and efficient delivery timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architecture, QA, and operations to ensure optimal technical implementation
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure microservices aligned with business requirements
- Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of new technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Lead code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure high-quality code deliverables
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment scripts, and operational procedures
- Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
- Essential: Java (Java SE 11+)
- Preferred: Good knowledge of Kotlin or additional JVM languages
Frameworks & Libraries:
- Essential: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud for microservices architecture
- Preferred: Hibernate, Retrofit, or similar frameworks for data access and API integrations
Cloud Technologies:
- Preferred: AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services for deployment and scaling
Databases/Data Management:
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL options (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Development Tools & Methodologies:
- Version control (Git, Bitbucket)
- CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Agile/Scrum development practices
Security Protocols:
- Understanding of OAuth, JWT, and secure API development best practices
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years in Java development and microservices architecture
- Proven experience in leading Java/Spring-based projects within enterprise environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, deliver large-scale solutions, and ensure best engineering practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud deployment, containerization, and automation is preferred
Day-to-Day Activities
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during development, testing, and production phases
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance development efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of architecture, code, and deployment procedures
- Monitor system performance and security, making improvements as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 11 Developer; Cloud certifications) preferred
- Proven track record in designing and delivering microservices-based enterprise applications
