Job Description: This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

The Senior Data Analyst role within CFO Data Management, supporting Data Controls activities across Data Validation, Data Quality, Reconciliations, and regulatory reporting. The role is responsible for ensuring operational data fits for purpose, executing and monitoring controls, triaging and remediating data issues, performing granular trade data analysis, and supporting accurate downstream reporting. The individual will work with CFO business partners and stakeholders globally to support control execution, issue resolution, testing, management reporting, and data adjustments where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data validation and reconciliation for regulatory reporting.
  • Complete Finance Packs and dashboards, including walkthroughs with business and onshore partners.
  • Manage relationships with business and onshore stakeholders.
  • Support monthly production processes, project design, and implementation activities.
  • Provide input into project documentation and related deliverables.
  • Manage and run controls to identify data quality gaps in underlying data.
  • Operate as an individual contributor within the Controls team.
  • Analyze capital markets and trade-related data, including trade products, to support accurate regulatory reporting.
  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
  • Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
  • Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of financial products, including equities, bonds, options, swaps, and other traded derivatives.
  • Ability to analyze trade data, identify gaps, and perform data adjustments where required.
  • Ability to communicate independently with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing, highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, respect, and trust with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
