Job Description

We are looking for a backend-focused Java Developer to design, build, and scale modern microservices. You will collaborate with international engineering squads, ship clean code, and leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and optimize system architecture.

What You Will Do:

• Build & Scale: Develop high-performance backend apps, microservices, and REST APIs using modern frameworks.
• Smart Engineering: Use AI-assisted development tools to write optimized code, generate tests, and accelerate debugging.
• Own Quality: Ship clean, SOLID, and highly testable code through robust CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate: Partner with QA engineers, architects, and stakeholders in an international agile environment.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years of professional Java experience.
• Production experience with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).
• Strong grasp of OOP, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Professional English fluency (German is a huge plus).

Nice to Have:

• Python for scripting, automation, or data handling.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) or openness to integrating them into your development habits.
• Container tools like OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Messaging systems like Kafka.
