Full description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master to join our team located in Saint Louis, MO. This role requires an on-site presence at our client's headquarters for approximately 20 hours per month.

The Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master will lead a large-scale Quality Assurance and Testing Services engagement valued at more than $10M annually, supporting our client's digital web and mobile product portfolio. This role is responsible for the overall planning, governance, coordination, reporting, and successful delivery of QA initiatives across multiple products, releases, teams, and testing environments.

Must have proven experience leading QA delivery organizations, managing Agile programs, coordinating complex release schedules, and driving executive-level communications. They will oversee testing metrics, risks, dependencies, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality releases and operational excellence across the program.

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires exceptional organizational skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to effectively engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams and managing distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of QA and testing initiatives across multiple digital products, mainly QR Code and Onsite Kiosk Testing.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in or lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Coordinate activities across QA, Product, Development, Analytics, and Business teams.
  • Drive release readiness and testing completion across multiple environments.

Testing Governance & Oversight

  • Ensure execution and continuous improvement of the established Test Strategy and Test Management processes.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, testing workflows, and defect management practices.
  • Monitor testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics.
  • Partner with QA leads to ensure functional, regression, automation, device, browser, and localization testing requirements are met.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of testing processes and tools.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare and deliver weekly project status reports to stakeholder distribution lists.
  • Develop and present Monthly Project Review (MPR) presentations highlighting:• QA status
  • Testing progress
  • Defect trends
  • Release readiness
  • Risks and mitigation plans
  • Team capacity and forecast
  • Communicate project health, risks, blockers, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive issue resolution and escalation management.

Documentation & Deliverables Management

  • Ensure testing documentation is maintained and updated within client organization and tools.
  • Oversee Jira reporting, defect tracking, and testing metrics.
  • Coordinate updates to Product Playbooks and operational documentation on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure release documentation and reporting requirements are met for all supported products.

Metrics & Quality Reporting Track and report:

  • Planned vs. executed test cases
  • Pass/fail rates
  • Defect counts and severity trends
  • Open versus closed defects
  • Testing coverage
  • Automation progress
  • Release readiness indicators
  • Cross-device and localization testing status

Qualifications

  • Takes initiative and drives results
  • Project Management experience leading software delivery programs.
  • Managing QA/Test Management initiatives.
  • Experience leading Agile Scrum teams.
  • Strong expertise with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience creating executive-level status reports and presentations.
  • Experience managing multiple releases simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing distributed and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with automated testing programs and QA tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $150,000.00.
