Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Pendergrass

Build a World-Class Manufacturing Operation

Join Siemens in launching and scaling our new Pendergrass manufacturing facility. As the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead the development of manufacturing processes, automation, equipment, and production systems while helping build the engineering foundation for long-term operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Drive manufacturing process design, industrialization, and production launch activities.
  • Lead equipment selection, automation implementation, commissioning, and startup efforts.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS to ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and productivity initiatives.
  • Manage capital projects, budgets, schedules, and supplier relationships.
  • Establish safe, scalable, and efficient manufacturing systems that meet quality, cost, and performance objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, industrialization, or production engineering.
  • Experience leading engineering projects or manufacturing initiatives.
  • Experience supporting production launches, equipment installations, manufacturing start-ups, or facility expansions.
  • Experience taking manufacturing equipment or production lines from concept through commissioning and ramp-up.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering, automation, or industrialization experience.
  • Experience supporting greenfield manufacturing facilities or major expansion projects.
  • Direct people leadership experience.
  • Experience implementing automated manufacturing systems, robotics, PLCs, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience managing capital equipment projects and external suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0, MES, smart factory, and digital manufacturing technologies.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
