Full description
You will be actively involved in data management of clinical research studies and long-term study databases for projects within the Division of Medical Oncology (DMO), National Cancer Centre Singapore. To fulfill the objective, you will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Extract data from medical case report, maintain database, and perform data mining from hospital electronic medical record (EMR),
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) raw data from enterprise data warehouse
- Harmonize data from multiple sources and transform raw data into analyzable insights,
- Perform analysis of registries and databases to identify and interpret key patterns and to support the communication of these insights to internal and external stakeholders on a planned regular basis and on ad hoc requests.
- Maintain and build AI applications across tumor types, for examples, information extraction, entity recognition and predictive analysis with machine learning models.
- Database environment scheduled server maintenance and acceptance tests
- Cross-institutional access account application and management
Administrative
- Assists the Principal Investigator in submission of accurate and timely closeout documents. Coordinates appropriate and timely payments to participants (if applicable).
HBRA/IRB Compliance
- Adherence to the HBRA/IRB by ensuring site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities.
Risk Mitigation
- Develop the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks or non-compliance. Ensure all near-misses and protocol deviations are reported in a timely manner.
Liaison
- Handle all initial and follow up communications between patients, healthcare professionals, clinical trial industry sponsors and PI/Co-Investigators. Assist in communications with DSRB/IRB staff regarding study-related ethics applications, amendments, and status reports.
Data Collection
- Maintenance of existing database to input or validate prospective and retrospective data.
Requirement:
- Degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science and/or Business Analytics
- Have programming and data science background. Data wriggling skills using Python and technical knowledge on SQL are must.
- Skill and knowledge on other tools like R, programming, OBIEE, JSON, XML, HTML, structured and unstructured data processing and Tableau will have added advantage.
- Experience in healthcare data and health data standards is desirable.
- Experience in descriptive and predictive analytics will have added advantage.
- Meticulous, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work on multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders concurrently.
