We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in DevOps, AWS, and Linux to design, automate, maintain, and optimise scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment environments. The role requires strong hands-on engineering capabilities across cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, system administration, monitoring, security, and production operations.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across development and operations teams to improve deployment speed, system reliability, infrastructure scalability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and administer Linux-based servers and environments, including system configuration, troubleshooting, patching, and performance optimisation.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)tools.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Load Balancers, and Route 53 as required.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes where applicable.
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services to identify performance, availability, and reliability issues.
• Configure and maintain centralised logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Implement cloud security best practices covering IAM, network security, secrets management, access controls, and infrastructure hardening.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity initiatives.
• Optimise AWS infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers to improve application deployment processes and operational readiness.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in release management, production deployments, incident response, and operational support activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve engineering productivity.
• Contribute to DevOps standards, cloud governance, infrastructure best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Linux administration, and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience designing and managing production-grade AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, compute, storage, databases, IAM, security, monitoring, and high-availability concepts.
• Strong Linux administration skills, including system troubleshooting, process management, networking, performance monitoring, permissions, and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure automation tools.
• Strong understanding of Docker and containerisation; Kubernetes experience is an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and VPC architecture.
• Experience implementing cloud security, IAM policies, secrets management, access controls, and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of Git, version control, release management, and modern software development workflows.
• Experience supporting production environments with a strong focus on availability, reliability, and performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA, security, architecture, and other technical stakeholders.
• Strong automation mindset with a focus on reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
