Senior Product Marketing Manager - Retail, Hospitality, Public Sector, Matterport - Arlington, VA

Job Description

CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces, and 3D digital twin technology. Included in the S&P 500 Index, CoStar Group is on a mission to digitize the world’s real estate, empowering all people to discover properties, insights and connections that improve their businesses and lives.

We have been living and breathing the world of real estate information and online marketplaces for over 35 years, giving us the perspective to create truly unique and valuable offerings to our customers. We’ve continually refined, transformed, and perfected our approach to our business, creating a language that has become standard in our industry, for our customers, and even our competitors. We continue that effort today and are always working to improve and drive innovation. This is how we deliver for our customers, our employees, and investors. By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.

About Matterport

Matterport, a CoStar Group brand, is transforming the built world through its pioneering 3D digital twin and AI-driven spatial data platform. By combining immersive technology, precision data, and advanced visualization capabilities, Matterport empowers professionals across industries, including commercial real estate, hospitality, architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and residential, to market, manage, and analyze properties in entirely new ways.

About the Role

Matterport is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own our positioning and go-to-market for enterprises that operate large portfolios of physical locations. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you will carry retail and restaurants, travel and hospitality, and government and public sector, including state and local government and education.

Retail and restaurants is the anchor, and the most interesting problem in the portfolio. Multi-site operators think in terms of hundreds or thousands of locations, rollout programs, and standards enforcement across a footprint. Building a dedicated program for that buyer is the mandate, and we want someone who has run that conversation before.

Travel and hospitality runs on the same logic. Hotel groups, resorts, and venue operators manage portfolios of physical space with the same rollout and consistency problems as a restaurant chain. This is a market to build and prove rather than a program to maintain.

Public sector is the other half of the job, and a genuinely different discipline. Government buyers move deliberately, through procurement rules that shape the whole cycle. The work is supporting long buying cycles, contract vehicles, and the specific proof public agencies require before they commit.

Facilities management runs underneath all three. The people who operate buildings for a living care about similar things across retail, hospitality, and public portfolios, and that theme cuts across the wider portfolio rather than belonging to one industry. You will work it with the rest of the team rather than building it alone.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely of this world. You should be able to sit with a director of construction at a national restaurant group, or a facilities lead at a public agency, and be taken as a peer inside the first ten minutes.

This position is located in Arlington, Virginia and is in office Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do

Own Positioning and Go-to-Market

  • Own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for retail and restaurants, travel and hospitality, and government and public sector.
  • Build a differentiated point of view for each, grounded in how enterprises with large location portfolios actually operate.
  • Build retail and restaurants into a consistent, measurable market and carry accountability for that growth.
  • Build and test the travel and hospitality plan, and report what the market tells us.
  • Find what genuinely carries across multi-site operators and build it once, rather than writing three versions of the same argument.
  • Sequence the portfolio honestly. Decide what gets depth this quarter and what gets maintained, and make the case for that choice.

Know the Buyer Better Than Anyone Here

  • Talk to customers and prospects directly and regularly, and bring back what you heard, including what contradicts our current story.
  • Understand how multi-site enterprises evaluate, pilot, and roll out technology across many locations.
  • Learn the public-sector path properly, including procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and the approvals a government buyer has to clear.
  • Track competitors in your industries and turn what you learn into positioning and product feedback.
  • Represent Matterport credibly at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings in your markets.

Arm the Field

  • Build the material Sales uses in real conversations: industry narratives, discovery guidance, competitive positioning, and customer proof.
  • Build the late-stage material long-cycle deals need, including procurement documentation, security and compliance answers, business cases, and pilot-to-rollout proof.
  • Work directly with account executives and sales leadership, and revise what is not landing.
  • Develop customer stories and references that carry weight with multi-site and public-sector buyers.
  • Support Demand Generation with the messaging and offers behind campaigns in your industries.

Own the Numbers

  • Carry accountability for how your industries convert, particularly the movement from engaged buyer to qualified opportunity.
  • Work the late-stage problem in public sector, where qualified opportunities stall rather than fail on merit.
  • Report on the performance of your industries with a clear view of what is working and what you are changing.

Work with AI

  • Use AI in your own workflow for buyer research, competitive monitoring, and content production, and share what works with the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
  • 6+ years in B2B product marketing, industry marketing, or vertical marketing, including at least three years marketing to a defined industry audience rather than to a product category.
  • Direct experience marketing to multi-site retail, restaurant, or franchise enterprises, or to the technology and services those operators buy. This is the anchor requirement for the role and we will test for it in interview.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positioning from first-hand buyer conversations rather than from product documentation.
  • Experience marketing into long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles where procurement, security, and finance all have a say.
  • A record of producing sales material the field actually used, and the judgment to know the difference.
  • Funnel literacy. You can describe how your work changed conversion or pipeline, with numbers.
  • Excellent writing. A large share of this job is deciding what to say and saying it well.
  • Comfort carrying more than one industry at a time, with the discipline to sequence rather than spread thin.
  • Practical AI fluency in your own working process.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to hotels, resorts, venues, or travel and event operators.
  • Public sector marketing experience across federal, state, local, education, or public safety, including familiarity with procurement cycles and contract vehicles.
  • Experience with construction, store development, or rollout programs inside a multi-site enterprise.
  • Familiarity with facilities management or building operations audiences.
  • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience with a direct sales force.
  • Familiarity with 3D capture, imaging, spatial data, or visualization technology.
