DescriptionTEKsystems is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client in the Richmond, VA area to support their fast-growing Data division supporting our In-Building Wireless Solutions (IWS) team. This company provides wireless communication, data, and security solutions that enhance workplace safety, security, and efficiency nationwide. Customers trust them to provide a portfolio of turn-key systems, products, and services — including two-way radio communications, vehicle uplift, security video and access control systems, BDA/DAS, remote monitoring, GPS tracking, SCADA, dispatch, mass notification, and point-to-point wireless networks. This project manager will be supporting various clients throughout the VA footprint who are in need of In-Building Communication Solutions (Large venues with many end-users). This could be universities, municipalities, sports venues, etc. They will be in charge of managing projects from Construction (Install) through integration. They have a sales and engineering team that will take care of the BD/Design functions, but then there will be an internal handoff where the PM will pick up and own the project along with internal and external customer communications. The day to day can vary, but the PM will be responsible for site surveys/QC (along with the CM), project tracking and reporting, Team management, sub vendor selection and oversight, budget tracking, escalations, etc. Right now this is about 75% WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: • Managing projects and prioritizing for self, project teams, vendors, and contractors. • Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring the progress of projects.• Performing site visits to inspect progress and workmanship.• Offering solutions to resolve basic project issues with limited guidance. • Managing project activities against schedule/milestones, effectively. • Developing reports for management review. • Relying on extensive judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Communicating and collaborating well with other teams and customers. • Demonstrating awareness of all nine areas of project management knowledge (PMBOK) or applicable PM (Project Manager) standards with a firm understanding. • Supporting the improvement of processes/procedures to drive project efficiency.• Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.• Coordinating resources to execute and deliver projects within Scope, Schedule and Budget.• Managing Project Budget and following Invoicing and Revenue Recognition Processes.• Providing regular financial forecasting for all assigned projectsSkillsProject management, Construction, Stakeholder management, Infrastructure, wireless network, IDAS, site survey, budget management, Pmp, Program management, Cell site, ImplementationAdditional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience in the project management field. • 3-5 years of experience in relevant technology B2B industry • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects or portions of projects and teams. • Proficient with ERP systems and developing reports for management review. • Experience with at least one of the following: public safety communications systems, cellular infrastructure, military communications, civil infrastructure construction, desired. • Understanding of two-way radio, microwave, and cellular infrastructure communications products, services, and systems. • Understanding local public safety customers, such as police, fire, and emergency medical services, plus. • PMP (Project Management Professional) is desired or working towards PMP. • Personal hands-on experience as a technician or engineer is highly preferred. DAS/IBW experience is a big plus.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
