Position Overview

Leap Event Technology is a global event technology platform powering experiences across fandom conventions, festivals, sports, and attractions worldwide. Our products bring together ticketing, mobile applications, sponsor engagement, merchant services, and fan experiences within a connected event technology ecosystem.

As part of this broader ecosystem, our specialized Photo Ops & Autographs product line delivers the live event tech that connects fans with their pop-culture idols. The platform supports the entire experience, from online purchasing and scheduling to onsite check-in, camera capture, physical printing, and digital delivery.

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA professional to join our team in Pittsburgh or Montreal. You’ll test interconnected web applications, mobile devices, backend services, and onsite hardware to help ensure a reliable experience for fans and event operators.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys investigating complex workflows, exploring real-world failure scenarios, and testing beyond the browser.

Location & Work Model

Locations: Pittsburgh, PA or Montreal, QC

Work Setup: Hybrid, with 1 day per week in office

AS A QA ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Design and execute end-to-end test coverage across web, mobile, and hardware-integrated workflows.
  • Test e-commerce experiences including high-demand sales, checkout, payments, refunds, and add-ons.
  • Perform hands-on testing across mobile devices, cameras, physical printers, and other onsite hardware and peripherals.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across new and existing features.
  • Investigate issues across interconnected systems and create clear, actionable defect reports in Jira.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA to identify risks, clarify requirements, and continuously improve test coverage and QA practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
  • Experience testing e-commerce applications, including checkout, payment processing, and related workflows.
  • Hands-on experience testing across a variety of devices and hardware, such as iOS/Android mobile devices, cameras, printers, or other peripherals.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to investigate issues across interconnected systems.
  • Ability to create clear, reproducible defect reports and communicate technical issues effectively across teams.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with product and engineering throughout the development lifecycle.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience with performance or load testing for high-traffic applications.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT as part of a development or QA workflow.

OFFICE INFORMATION:

Leap Event Technology is a remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Pittsburgh (U.S.), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour! 

If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.
