Junior Project Manager – Project Execution

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager for a long-term consulting assignment in Västerås. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in project management or engineering who wants to further develop their project management skills in a structured and professional project environment.

In this role, you will take ownership of smaller, lower-complexity projects and coordinate their execution from planning through completion. You will work with project plans, schedules, financial follow-up, risks, resources and stakeholders while ensuring that projects are delivered according to agreed scope, budget, quality and HSE requirements.

🚀 About the Assignment

As Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving assigned projects forward and ensuring effective coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with Project Controls and other stakeholders to establish project plans, follow progress and address risks or changes that may affect delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and execute smaller projects from planning through completion.

• Develop project plans together with Project Controls.

• Manage project scope, financial plans and schedules.

• Coordinate resources and project activities.

• Identify, assess and manage project risks.

• Monitor project progress, costs and profitability.

• Manage project changes according to established change-control processes.

• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure that projects are delivered according to agreed quality requirements.

• Ensure compliance with relevant HSE requirements.

• Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively drive activities forward.

🎯 We Are Looking for Someone Who Has

• Relevant education and/or professional experience within project management, engineering or a related field.

• Experience with project planning and project execution.

• Understanding of scheduling and resource planning.

• Knowledge of risk management and change management.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A structured and responsible approach, with the ability to take ownership of assigned projects.

• A good working command of English, both spoken and written.

Experience or knowledge within HSE, financial project follow-up and risk management is particularly relevant for the assignment.

As this is a junior/intermediate position, you do not need to be a senior Project Manager. What matters is that you have a solid foundation in project execution and the motivation to continue developing within project management.

Location: Västerås Period: 1 October 2026 – 30 September 2027 Scope: Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week Working model: 100% on-site
