At Kubota Australia and Kubota New Zealand, we distribute and provide after sales support for high value, exceptional quality agricultural and construction machinery, equipment and products.

In your new role as Product Manager you will undertake a range of activities to introduce and maintain a compliant, saleable product/s line/s for Kubota Australia and its dealers.  The initial focus of the position is the Krone category and product lines.

All the fun stuff you'll get involved in (key accountabilities) will include:

  • Manage the Krone product category (initially), including existing and new products and product ranges (as allocated).  Undertake a range of activity including: liaison with parent company on options, product research, competitor analysis, market/ consumer analysis and demand forecasting activity to ensure products offered meet market need and forecast demand
  • Oversee and determine appropriate pricing and margins which will drive and fulfil or exceed sales (revenue), profit and market share objectives
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new products into the product offering by leading, or taking a lead role, in within function and cross functional projects to ensure compliance with relevant standards for each target market, satisfaction of a range of internal requirements and conditions for offer and sale, pricing, marketing, communication, organisation of supply, etc.
  • Update and maintain a range of systems and records and project documentation
  • Undertake scheduled and ad hoc reporting to support recommendations and managerial decision making
  • Act as subject matter expert in relation to product development and implementation/ launch activity for allocated product offerings internally and with Dealer representatives
  • Prepare a range of marketing and communications to ensure product offerings are accurately and effectively promoted.  Undertake remedial marketing action via a range of mediums as required to ensure sales and market share objectives
  • Act as a representative of Kubota at external and company events and with Dealer representatives

To be successful in this role, your profile would look something like:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred) or commensurate industry experience
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Valid Passport and satisfy any and all conditions allowing interstate or international travel
  • License/ certification/ ticket for any machinery operated (as required) 
  • Significant senior level product management experience, including substantial experience gained in agricultural and/or construction industries.   Specific experience with Krone product/ similar
  • Substantial marketing and communication experience and exposure to sales, particularly price and margin setting
  • Strong working technical (mechanical and engineering) knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.  Specific experience with Krone product/ similar (highly desirable)
  • Project management/ coordination experience
  • Highly developed interpersonal, influencing/ negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Executive level communication skills, inclusive of report writing and presenting
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Well-developed business acumen
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Sound computing skills, including expertise in sales and supply related SAP modules, Google/ Microsoft Office suite/s

* An inherent requirement of this position is infrequent regional travel and occasional interstate travel
