Reporting to the Director, North American Product Marketing, the Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for a portfolio of food and nutrition ingredients.
This role combines elements of product management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, market development, and commercial leadership. You will serve as the business expert for your product portfolio, partnering closely with suppliers and sales teams to identify opportunities, optimize profitability, and drive long-term business growth.
This US-based role offers flexibility regarding location, with a preference for candidates located near a major airport to support customer, supplier, and industry travel across North America.
What would be your main responsibilities as a Product Manager:
Strategic Product & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute portfolio growth strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities
- Manage product lifecycle activities and portfolio optimization initiatives
- Monitor industry dynamics, competitive activity, and market developments
Supplier & Partner Management
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with global supplier partners
- Lead supplier business reviews and performance evaluations
- Identify and secure competitive supply solutions for target markets
- Negotiate commercial agreements while balancing growth opportunities and risk management
Commercial Leadership
- Partner closely with sales teams to drive profitable revenue growth
- Develop pricing strategies and manage portfolio profitability
- Provide market intelligence, product expertise, and competitive insights
- Support key customer opportunities and strategic business initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams
- Deliver impactful presentations to internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Support forecasting, inventory planning, and business reporting activities
- Contribute to the development and execution of broader business strategies
Industry Engagement
- Represent Quadra at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Expand and maintain a strong professional network within the food and nutrition sector
- Act as a trusted industry expert for internal and external stakeholders
What are the required qualifications and experience to have success in this role ? :
To thrive in this role, you bring a strong combination of commercial expertise, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Business Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a commercial, sales, or business development role within the Food & Nutrition industry, including at least 3 years in Product Management, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
- Strong knowledge of food ingredients, market trends, supply chain dynamics, and customer needs.
- Established network of industry contacts, customers, and supplier partners.
- Proven experience developing market strategies, business plans, and growth initiatives that deliver measurable results.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated business acumen and a solid understanding of commercial drivers, profitability, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization and with external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while navigating complex business challenges.
- Passion for contributing to a high-performing, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time across North America and internationally, including occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license and passport required.

Compensation: The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD per year, depending on your experience, skills, and qualifications. Our salary ranges are carefully benchmarked by role and level, ensuring competitive pay that rewards your expertise.
