Job Description
Position Overview
Micas is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for data center switching hardware. This role owns the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for high-performance Ethernet switches used in AI clusters and modern data centers. The position focuses on Broadcom-based switch platforms, CPO architectures, and advanced thermal, power, and liquid-cooling designs, ensuring products meet customer, market, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Product Line Strategy
Define and own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Micas data center switch platforms (e.g., 400G/800G/1.6T). Ensure alignment with business goals, AI and cloud workloads, and hyperscaler requirements. Track product performance, cost, and adoption, and adjust strategy as needed.
Market and Customer Analysis
Analyze data center trends including AI fabrics, scale-out networking, CPO adoption, liquid cooling, and power density growth. Translate customer needs from hyperscalers, CSPs, and OEM partners into clear product requirements and competitive positioning.
Hardware and System Competitiveness
Ensure strong competitiveness across performance, power efficiency, thermal design, reliability, and cost. Drive decisions around Broadcom ASIC selection, port configurations, optics/CPO integration, and system architecture.
CPO, Power, and Thermal Leadership
Own product direction for Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), including OE/RLM management, CMIS alignment, and port-to-engine mapping. Partner with hardware teams on liquid cooling, airflow fallback, power delivery, and thermal margin design for high-power ASIC systems.
Hardware Compliance and Quality
Ensure products meet industry standards and compliance (NEBS, IEC, CE, FCC, RoHS, Telcordia, reliability and stress testing). Work closely with validation teams to drive EVT/DVT/PVT readiness and field reliability.
Cross-Functional Execution
Work closely with ASIC, hardware, firmware, thermal, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery from concept to mass production and customer deployment.
