Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager, Building Hope Fund will be responsible for leading and coordinating administrative and operational functions for the Building Hope Fund (BHF). Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Community Development Finance, this role serves as a key thought partner and integrator across the Building Hope team, consultants, vendors, internal departments, and external partners to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement of program operations.
This role partners with the Philanthropic Services Department (PSD) to develop and implement strategies that educate, inspire, support, and activate OCF's strategic donors, donor prospects, foundations and corporate funders. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, IT), BHF leadership, BHF’s third-party fund administrator, and donors to improve programmatic performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Department Support Percentage of Time: 50%
- Lead planning, design, execution, and monitoring of multi-component programs and initiatives in partnership with department leadership.
- Develop and manage project scope, timelines, work plans, and track implementation progress against project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate the work of project consultants and vendors to keep the project on track and ensure successful achievement of BHF's goals.
- Prepare contracts and other documentation that comply with BHF policies and procedures.
- Prepare, update, and manage project and department budgets.
- Maintain organized project files and design internal tracking tools and systems.
- Maintain strong documentation practices, program records, and data for decision-making.
- Assist Senior Advisor Community Development Finance and Senior Program Officer in scheduling and preparing for meetings, as needed.
- Attend and represent the department in statewide meetings or cross-functional initiatives as required.
- Support vendor RFP processes, selection, onboarding, and ongoing vendor performance tracking.
- Manage Building Hope’s project intake process.
- Follow up on general inquiries.
- Fundraising Campaign Support Percentage of Time: 10%
- Draft, review, and track fundraising asks.
- Design and maintain campaign tracking tools.
- Collaborate with PSD colleagues and President’s staff to coordinate meetings and follow-up tasks.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting Percentage of Time: 20%
- Support communication with project lenders, investors, partners, and government agencies.
- Facilitate cross-department coordination to ensure deliverables, milestones, and dependencies are met.
- Prepare progress reports, updates, and presentations for leadership.
- Support preparation for board meetings as needed (e.g., producing and reviewing briefing materials, taking meeting minutes).
- Manage and update contact lists, communications tools, and outreach databases.
- Serve as point-of-contact for internal and external communications, including newsletters, website content, inbox management, and intranet updates.
- Create and maintain dashboards, program metrics, and written reports for internal and external audiences.
D. Strategic Stewardship & Engagement Percentage of Time: 20%
- Design and implement an engagement plan for BHF stakeholders to advance OCF’s impact through prospect identification and relationship building, including corporate partners and private foundations.
- Identify opportunities to celebrate donor giving, impact investing/lending, and community benefits.
- Help craft case studies and presentation materials that represent programmatic impact.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Six or more years of progressively responsible project management and/or strategic planning, preferably in a nonprofit organization or for campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Ability to travel and meet with individuals and groups within the region as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Requires valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular use to effectively perform job duties.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hiring Range: $92,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience.
- Salary offers are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment. This initial hiring range reflects our starting offer based on your skills and experience.
