Role summary

The Business Systems Analyst / Administrator bridges the business and the Enterprise Applications team, translating operational needs across Finance, HR, IT, Sales and Operations into well-defined requirements, backlog priorities, and configured solutions in NetSuite and Salesforce. This role owns the analysis, intake, and testing lifecycle for enhancements to our core financial and adjacent enterprise applications, working closely with our development and integration specialists to keep systems reliable, scalable, and aligned to how the business actually works.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Revenue, HR, and the Enterprise Applications team, building trusted relationships that surface issues and opportunities early.
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and workshops, translating them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Own intake and triage of enhancement requests and issues submitted through Jira, ensuring each is scoped, sized, and routed appropriately.
  • Prioritize and groom the NetSuite and Salesforce backlog in partnership with the development team and business stakeholders, balancing urgency, effort, and strategic value.
  • Support day-to-day administration of Salesforce, including configuration, user and role management, and workflow updates, in partnership with our developers.
  • Plan and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including writing test scripts, coordinating business testers, tracking defects, and confirming sign-off before releases move to production.
  • Support and monitor integrations between NetSuite and systems such as Salesforce, Adaptive, ADP, Ramp, Avalara, and Boomi, escalating and coordinating resolution of data or process issues.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, responding quickly to system issues that affect close timelines.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents, process maps, system documentation, and runbooks so knowledge is captured and repeatable.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and build the business case to bring forward for prioritization.
  • Provide clear, regular status updates to stakeholders on request progress, backlog priorities, and upcoming releases.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or application administrator role supporting enterprise SaaS applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of quote to cash processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Experience planning and supporting UAT, including test script development and defect tracking.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Jira or a similar tool for intake, backlog, and prioritization.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Netsuite, CPQ, ADP, Ramp, Avalara, and/or Boomi.
  • Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
