Own the data warehouse, end to end.

At Harmoney, you'll work on a product trusted by organisations such as Belfius, Baloise, AG Insurance, and Swiss Life. More importantly, you'll join a team that's ambitious, supportive, and genuinely enjoys building great things together.

As Data Engineer, you'll own, scale and evolve our data warehouse and BI ecosystem, powering critical internal operations and delivering actionable analytics to our customers.

If you enjoy turning raw data into solutions people rely on every day, we'd love to meet you. 👋

🎯 Your impact

As Data Engineer, you'll make data a reliable foundation for decisions at Harmoney and for our customers.

You'll build our data know-how in-house and, within your first year, take full ownership of our data warehouse. Your work will drive everything from capacity planning for our customers to automated billing for our own teams.

🚀 What you'll do

  • Own the Harmoney data warehouse, from data queues through transformation to analysis
  • Build and extend our transformation layer in dbt and SQL
  • Build BI dashboards in Superset and Power BI for internal teams and external customers
  • Deliver analytics that matter, such as capacity planning for our customers and automated billing for internal use
  • Safeguard data quality, so every number our colleagues and customers see is correct
  • Partner with teams across Harmoney to translate their questions into reliable data solutions

🧩 You'll thrive in this role if you...

  • Have 3 to 6 years of experience in data engineering and a bachelor's or master's degree in IT or a related field
  • Know your way around data warehousing, data pipelines, queuing systems and BI
  • Work confidently with dbt, SQL, Git and Docker
  • Have managed data solutions in a previous role
  • Don't settle for "roughly right": with data, correct is the only option
  • Take full ownership and work independently, while collaborating with many different teams
  • Are fluent in English and Dutch

Bonus points for experience with Kafka, Flink, StarRocks, Azure, Java or data mesh.

💎 What you get

  • Salary scale B4: 3250 - 5600 gross/month plus a company car (Tesla model Y, BMW iX1 or equivalent) or mobility budget, 32 days of annual leave, MacBook and smartphone
  • A flat, down-to-earth team with approachable leadership and real ownership
  • Complex, real-world problems and a modern stack, so your brain stays busy
  • Hybrid from our Ghent office
